Year-round property care
The end of mowing season is not the end of the work
In western Montana, the weeks between the last mow and the first plow decide how a property comes through winter. Irrigation has to be empty before the hard freeze, leaves have to come off the lawn before wet snow mats them down, weak limbs have to go before snow load finds them, and anything a plow could hit has to be marked while it can still be seen.
HJ Property Care & Tree Service LLC handles all of it in-house, then stays on through the winter with snow removal, ice management, dormant pruning, and 24-hour storm response. This year we are also adding professional holiday light installation. One local crew, one call, every season.

Why fall and winter work better with one crew
Most winter damage on a property is done by the people clearing it. Sprinkler heads, low-voltage lighting, bed edging, and the edge of a gravel drive all vanish under the first real snow, and a plow blade finds them in the dark. When the same crew does your sprinkler blowout and fall cleanup, they mark those hazards in October and read the marks all winter.
The same goes for trees. A limb that is comfortably clear of the driveway in September hangs lower under wet snow, and a crew that prunes in the fall knows which ones to take before they come down across the drive in a storm. Because we are a tree service as well as a snow contractor, a limb blocking access is something we can clear on the same visit instead of a second phone call. Read more in our guide to preventing snow plow damage.
For businesses, HOAs, and property managers, it also means one contract and one point of contact from the fall blowout through the spring cleanup. See commercial snow and ice management, HOA and property management snow removal, and year-round commercial grounds maintenance.

Fall & winter questions
Yes, all year. Fall is sprinkler blowouts, cleanups, aeration, tree work, and fire mitigation; winter is snow removal, ice management, dormant pruning, and 24-hour storm response; and this year we are adding holiday light installation. The same local crew looks after the property in every season.
Whatever has a hard deadline. A sprinkler blowout has to happen before the first hard freeze, and aeration and overseeding needs the early-fall window. Cleanups follow the leaf drop, and snow routes should be arranged before the first storm. Tree work and fire mitigation have a longer window through fall and winter.
Yes, and it tends to work better. The crew that blows out your irrigation and does the fall cleanup is the one that marks sprinkler heads, bed edges, and lighting before snow covers them, which is what keeps them from being hit by a plow in January. Tell us everything you are interested in on one request and we will schedule it together.
Yes. We are building our 2026–27 routes now for homes, businesses, HOAs, and property managers, covering driveways, parking areas, private roads, sidewalks, and ice management. Routes fill before the season starts, so the earlier you get in touch the easier it is to fit your property in.
